Today was a full day! We got up early because some of the church members arraigned for all of us to go to the base of Mt. Kinabalu. It is the second highest mountain is South East Asia. Over 13,000 feet tall! So we left the flat lands and head upppp into the mountains. After about an hour we stopped at an over look and took some pictures. It’s a very big mountain. We continued on to a tourist place back in the jungle. They had a small canopy walk up in the trees. Nothing special, but still neat enough to be worth it. Then we went swimming. They had some natural hot spring pools and some cold pools. It was fun to cool off for a bit. While we were hanging out this crazy huge bug landed on me. I have never seen anything like it before. There was also a place where you could feed the fish, and they had a super funny sign out front. Then we jumped in the vans and headed back.
This evening Buddy wasn’t feeling very well so I went with Melody. They have a very nice church. Their translators name is Mr. Jollie. Yep, that’s right; and he is a very jolly fellow. A funny thing about this church is that they require the speaker to wear a coat. So even though it is blazing hot they provide a coat each night for them to wear. While we were setting up we realized that there was no power cord in the case for the laptop. And the battery was half dead! So we prayed and turned it on right before we thought she was going to speak. But they had a special music in between. So we were wasting battery. I check the battery level to see how much juice it had and set my stop watch. When she was moving into the appeal I was praying hard. It should have cut out but it kept going for another 20 minutes!!!!! Just enough time for her to finish completely!!! Praise God!!!!
