We have been eating breakfast at a little restaurant connected to the back of the hotel. After we can do some shopping we will be making breakfast for ourselves. But until then… it’s really good food :)
The rest of the morning was spent practicing preaching with a translator. It was fun to watch the students really get into it. They were getting really excited :)
This afternoon they all got to go out to their churches and see how everything was going to work. Every single one of them came back very excited. Many of the sights are up in the mountains and jungles. Some have to wade across steams (only to their ankles) while some have swinging bridges to cross. The people are all very friendly and showed them a lot of the sights around. They are all super encouraged and very excited to see God lead.
some of us were able to walk to town this evening. its about a 30 min walk along a busy road. the town is not very large and the stores are very modern. not very many typical Asian things. i hope we are able to go to some real open markets later on. we will see. if not then there wont be very many souvenirs :(
tomorrow everything gets started. i am very excited to be able to rotate around and accompany the students each evening.
