March 20

Sabbath!!! This morning I got to go with William to his church. I had heard that his was the most remote so I was prepared. We traveled up past all of the churches I had been to so far and turned off to the right. Then we went dowwwnnn, down into the valley. It was really steep. the breaks got really hot. We passed lots of rubber trees and pineapple plants. I am so glad we had four-wheel drive. The village was just getting power. In fact they were stringing the wires as we drove by. But I still think Cam’s is more remote, maybe because it has less people and no school. But this one was very nice. The Adventist population is about 95%, so just about everyone was in church! And they all take their shoes off before going in. that’s a lot of shoes! After church we had a great potluck then went down to the river for about an hour. They have a big wide spot where they feed and raise fish. They don’t fish in that pond; they just let them breed there. They fish up and down stream. We got to throw feed to them. They all jump at it. It was fun. We set there for a while talking about jungle plants and their uses. It was very educational.

Then we had the afternoon meeting. I almost fell asleep :) thankfully I was sitting by the window and could get some fresh air. I wanted to go with William today because I knew he was in the mountains and I thought it was going to be cooler up there. But I was very wrong. It was so hot!!!

When we got back I decided to go with Robby to his church for the evening meeting. So I had three sermons today! It was quite a marathon. He is preaching at the Pioneer Memorial Church. It is the big church at the Sabah Mission. The Mission office and the school are located all on the same campus. There are about 200 kids attending in all, but they are all on break this week. Next week will be very full for him :) There were about 8 kids that wanted to sing with Robby and they showed up about 10 minutes before the meeting to practice, and Robby had never sang the song before. But they did a great job. The projector cut out three times, but Robby prayed and rebuked the devil and no more problems! Praise God.
