March 16

This morning God got me up early (usually I get up a fair bit later). I went outside to watch the sun up and to read. I read for a whole hour and a half. It was great. And I watched the sun come up over the mountains. The big mountain is actually the second highest in South East Asia. It is over 13,000 feet tall.

After breakfast a church member from one of the sites picked some of us up and took us to a Crocodile farm. It was really interesting. They had lots of crocks and some other animals too. An animal that I had never heard of called a bear cat. And there was a monkey running around. They had a short show with some crocks. Very interesting :) Don’t think I will like to stick my hand in his mouth. We got to feed the otters. They are very passionate about chasing the fish. And we also got to pet a real live crock! They are actually very soft.

This afternoon I thought I would take a nap, but one of the students came up to my room and we talked for almost two hours! It was really nice. Time well used.

This evening I went with Jeremy. The last three days the churches have been really close together so it was nice to go to another area. The church is on top of a ridge so you can see for a long way on all sides. We got there just after the sun went down so I didn’t get any sunset pictures. The people were very nice and welcoming. Jeremy has a great relationship with all of the kids and they have great fun together. Jeremy is also doing a great job with the language. He is going to do a duet with his driver tomorrow:)

Tomorrow we are going to another market. They are a lot of fun. And we are also looking for other exciting things to do.
