man, this has been a rough week. i took my turn at being sick for a couple of days. thankfully it was short, but far from sweet. but today i felt so much better!
today was shop day! i love shop day. i got some tenon cutters and wanted to see them at work. and they work great. so well that i decided to make something, so i made a bench. and it turned out great! i didnt have my camera but i will get a photo soon. it turned out well for a first try.
for vespers tonight we had a defend your faith session. all the students really enjoyed it. some of my students are finally realizing why we are talking about the stuff we do in class :)

quail
perfect sunset.
i have been sick the last few days so i havent been able to write anything. i cant sleep right now so i figured i might as well do something with my time.
the weather at Rosario was way better this year. last year it rained, but this year was clear and warm. friday night gave us the most beautiful sun set i have seen in a long time. in fact i am not sure if i have ever seen anything better. it made me very happy that i had my camera.
on sabbath i was out by myself and saw a flock of quail. they were very cute.
we had about 130 people that attended church. quite a large group.
two of our deans wernt able to come with us. one's family was sick and the other one was sick himself. so we were short staffed to begin with. but by sunday morning about half the students were feeling pretty bad. so we had to leave early. ceri and seth got really sick too. i was the only dean on the bus coming back. i want through the bus three times passing out vit C and oil of oregano. felt like we were in a hospital on wheels :) but now i am sick, but i think i am getting better. i tryed to teach class today, but the students were so tired and i didnt have any energy, so i turned off the lights and gave every one a nap time.
it feels like winter is finally here. it snowed on monday, but that quickly melted. but it snowed again today. we only have about and inch or so, but down in lytton they have three feet!
i think thats about it. i am really hoping i feel better by tomorrow. i will be the only dean on :( but God is good, so i cant complain.

Feb 15
its been a busy weekend. seth went down with the music group to oregan, so i have been by myself for a while. and i am tired.
next weekend we are going to rosario beach, and its taking a lot of planning. but i think this year is going better then last. and thats a good thing.
the doughnuts all covered in sugar :)
there is a lady in town who is a single mom and has two kids. she feels her oldest son, who is 11, needs an older man to hang out with. so he hung out with me from sabbath afternoon until sunday morning. he spent the night with me too. he's pretty fun. i am glad i have been able to spend some time with him. we spent some time down on the pond and it was fun to be a kid for a while. sabbath night we stayed up until almost 11 making doughnuts and pretzels in the cafe. fun, but not very healthy.
i am going to bed early tonight. i am so excited.

Feb 12
i am feeling better then i was in the beginning of the week. but i am super tired from missing two nights sleep. and now Seth is gone. that means i have to do lock up for four nights straight.
i have to sub for a class tomorrow. that means i have a grand total of maybe three hours off the whole day!
i am falling in love with my work again. not that i ever fell out of love. i have been able to spend some more time mentoring some of the guys and it has been so nice. its funny, most of the time some one talks to me about something, it usually correlates to what i have been studying lately. after i teach something it sticks in my head way better, so i have been able to not only learn a lot lately but actually apply it.
this winter hasnt been to bad. its been a bit chilly at times but no snow at all. but it hasnt been like that in all of canada. back east its been bad. the roads are so slick even the police havent been able to get around so well. here is a news video a friend sent me of our fine RCMP doing what they do best, well, at least trying.

Repelling down the rocks.
i got sick last night and wasent able to get much sleep. i am really glad i had today off. i was able to give my room a good cleaning, do laundry, and even call my parents.
this last weekend a big group (25!) of us went up to Stryen cabin. even with the large group, i think i was one of my favorite times up there. on the ride down on friday we got a flat tire, but thankfully Mr. Corrigan had his van, so he shuttled us all down there. i was in the first group with all the girls. i wasnt sure how that was going to work out, but let me tell you, they just put their heads down and walk! i think we took three breaks the whole way up:) the last group finally arrived just after sun down. for Sabbath one of the students and myself went for an awesome walk up the creek behind the cabin. we saw fresh cougar and bobcat tracks. we climbed pretty high and got a grand view of the valley below. at one point on our way back we hit a rock face we couldent climb down. thankfully Mr. Rass made me take along a rope, so we repelled down. sunday we cleaned up and headed down the mountain where Scott was right on time to pick us up. (i like it when things happen on time like that.) all and all it was just an awesome weekend.
