March 23 day 9

we have had a young man that has been sick since Sunday night, and today it was my turn to stay back with him.
i split my morning between getting all my past photos loaded up on my blog and helping in the kitchen. after lunch i went out behind the cabins where i heard there was a creek. so i wound my way through the bush going in the direction where i thought the creek was. it was a tangles mess. after winding my way for a while i stumbled on a trail :) it took me right to the creek. funny funny.
its not very deep but i moved some rocks and was able to make a place where i could sit in it. but it wasn't very sunny so i didn't stay long.
last year when i was in Malaysia i thought it would be pretty cool to make cups out of bamboo. so on my way back from the creek i cut some down and brought it back to my cabin. so for the rest of the after noon me and the sick guy, who was feeling tons better, worked on making cups and mugs. i have no idea how they will turn out but it was fun to work on it while we did.
it rained off and on most of the afternoon. i think we got the most rain during the day we have had so far.
since all the students were gone i decided to take a nice long hot shower before supper. it felt so good.
every one got back late from filming. they were up on the North Shore about as far from here as you can get. they were able to get two songs done before lunch but it kept raining in the afternoon so they were only able to get one more done.
we are going back to the same place tomorrow. they say it is a nice beach. i might get some body boarding in while they are filming :) we'll see.
every one is getting pretty tired. up at 5:45 and no personal time all week gets old fast. thankfully we have a rec day on Friday. every one is looking forward to it. i think half of they will sleep till lunch :) the students are haveing wonderful attitudes. they put up with a lot. i am very glad to be working with such wonderful young people. God is good!
