Another early day. The guys in my cabin didn’t set their alarm until 6 so they could have another 15 min of sleep. :) Tricky fellows.
Last night Scott gave all the staff this long talk about having to leave on time at 7:30. So we started loading by 7:15 and were able to leave on time! Imagine that, Fountainview leaving on time. We proved that it can be done!
It was about an hour and twenty minutes to the place we were filming on the North Shore. I slept most of the way. Two guys were sick again today, but Jordan stayed back with them. The place we were filming at was some sort of garden where they had channeled runoff water in to streams that ran through it. It was a very beautiful spot.
After we set up for the first song Jay, Rosa, and I were able to take some time off. We drove up to the next little town looking for a good spot to do some body boarding. On our way we picked up two hitch hikers and took them to the end of the road were an 11 mile trail starts that leads to a very secluded beach. I heard that it is one of the top ten most dangerous tails in the world to backpack. After we dropped them off we drove back looking for some good waves. We found a good spot for waves but there were too many rocks so we went to another place and just swam around for a while.
We made it back half way through lunch. They were able to film two songs in the morning and their plan was for four so we headed right back at it. And believe it or not we were able to get all four done! That’s two days in a row. I think the key is not having to move very far. Today we pretty much moved about 75 feet for all four songs.
On the way back we stopped at a store and I picked up a couple of t-shirts and a hat.
Last night Jeremy and I had set up a trap for our local rat that has been running around the café. And tonight they caught it, but not in the trap. A couple of guys saw it running out side and chased it down and pinned it to the ground. (I won’t tell you the rest)Glad to be rid of him.
Right now I am in town with Nathan doing personal laundry. We are running out of options to wear :)
Another big day tomorrow. We are headed back up north again, this time to the beach. We are planning on being there for two days, which should finish up the week. With doing four songs the last two days we are only one song behind, which we should pick up pretty quick.
We made a few more grasshoppers today. Many of the students are catching on and having fun making them. One student said they would try and sneak one into one of the songs, so keep your eyes open, no telling what you might see ;)
