Day 3 march 17

Well, we got up at 6 this morning so we could get an early start on the day. After worship and breakfast we headed out to the mountain. We stopped about half way over looking an amazing Canyon!!!! Stunning!! This thing was awesome. Pictures do not do it justice. And the dirt was crazy red. It reminded me of Utah.

While they were filming the first song we were able to take some of the students that were not recording and drive then hiked to an amazing water fall. It was so pretty! And the water felt soooo good. We had a lot of fun there.

Made it back just in time to get something to eat and change locations. We moved about a mile up the road to a place where a creek was flowing through some awesome red dirt. And that red dirt, ya, it stains, never going to have white shirts again :)

After two more long songs we sped back to camp and had a later than normal supper and worship then back to bed to start it all over again. Another 6 am wake up.

It was very enjoyable to be able to experience something more unique to Hawaii. We can find red dirt back on the main land, but waterfalls like that are special. It made the day worthwhile.

Because we are a song behind the plan is to record tomorrow instead of taking the day off. I am sure that the ones that are making the plans are wise, but the students are getting tired and some are very burnt. It would be very nice if they could get a day off, but at least we have Sabbath to go for a nice long hike :) looking forward to that!
