yester day i took one of the students to lytton for a doctors appointment. while we were there a fire got out of hand and came right up to the road and even jumped across it. so they closed the road so they could work on the fire. so we were stuck in town. well, with all our free time we decided to see what we could see. so we headed toward Botney valley. it is very beautiful up there. well, the higher we got the more snow there was. there was about 18 in of snow. suddenly it went from a gravel road to just two tire tracks. a little later we got stuck :( so we spent the next hour and a half getting un stuck. some of the high lights include almost going off a hill to getting stuck on the other side of the road, driving backwards for almost two km. i looked at my mirror and the student stuck his head out the window and gave me directions. "your way, my way a little, more your way." and finally trying to do a power turn to turn around. at the end some random guy came by in a 4x4 and helped give us a final push to get out. right after we got going straight there was a big hill that would would have never mad up if we had been going backward. and about the time it got really dark.
we were praising the Lord the whole time. i am really glad we got out and didnt have to spend the night out there :)
went we got back to town we picked up a hich hiker and he said they had just opened the road back up :) so we didnt waist to much time :) glad it all worked out well.
